Nathalie Edmond, PsyD, RYT-500 is a licensed clinical psychologist, experienced yoga teacher, JEDI practitioner, owner of a group practice and former behavioral health administrator. She is currently the director of counseling at Villanova University. She takes a trauma informed and integrated perspective to her consultations and trainings blending mindfulness, didactic, multimedia clips and conversation. Her general approach to trainings related to diversity, equity, inclusion and justice is grounded in the idea that we have to build comfort within ourselves as racial beings to be able to talk with others about being racial beings or make meaningful changes in our communities. That would translate to recognizing our positionality in relationship to privilege and power along many different identities from a place of compassion and accountability.
Dr. Edmond believes that transformation happens when we integrate mind-body-spirit and have an embodied dialogue. Her mission is to work towards collective healing and liberation. Bestselling author of "Mindful Race Talk: Building literacy, fluency and agility". Read full bio.

What people are saying about Dr. Edmond's
trainings and consultations
- Deep appreciation for a workshop that not only had enlightening content but embodied and role modeled an antiracist space. I am looking forward to more.
- She's an expert and so amazing
- Her approach integrates education along with mindfulness and the body. I think that is what makes her so unique and wonderful
- I've learned so much just from her anti-racism resource page
- Thank you so much for your workshops! They were really powerful and insightful. You’ve given us all a lot to think about, to research/explore more, and to apply to our personal and professional lives.
- You have such a warm, welcoming energy coupled with a deep knowledge of the content and a quiet passion for the subject matter - it all makes for a rich, meaningful workshop experience. I’m already hearing from folks who got so much out of it and everyone is asking when we can do it again.
- Dr. Edmond's delivery of the material is quite professional. She creates a laid back atmosphere in the training which encourages individuals to share their ideas. She has excellent supplemental readings and videos to more fully explain the material and enhance the learning experience.
- I think this training is invaluable. Even though I am in multiple anti-racism groups there is so much to learn and this is a wonderful way to see it through the lens of therapy while also getting to know my colleagues on a more intimate level.
- It is certainly changing the way I do therapy and a step in moving away from the antiquated, white-washed therapy I learned in school.
- It was a powerful and eye opening training and you showed so much compassion and warmth that it made it easier to go through the challenging and difficult content. I really appreciated the lens of self-care while we unpacked such a difficult topic. The readings and different perspectives provided were powerful.
- I found it profoundly inspiring and walked away with many new insights. I know that this work is just beginning and it was really helpful to have someone work with our team exactly where we are instead of bringing a "cookie cutter" consultant approach. I appreciated your sensitivity to our team and needs and your ability to draw out meaningful conversations and learning in a safe environment.
- There were many times when the content was more than difficult, but your guidance and patience really helped and taught me how sitting with the discomfort is sometimes necessary. Even through a screen you made us feel connected. I am very excited for what is to come with us as a team.
- I was quiet during most of it, but that is just my nature, I like to process things for sometime before giving my thoughts. I thoroughly enjoyed this workshop and the reflection it gave me. It gave me a new outlook, a new understanding, and it really opened my eyes and my heart even more. I think the space in which it was brought to us was safe, non-judgemental, and I appreciate all the time and effort Dr. Edmond puts into this. It is very well presented. I am just so grateful for this experience and to Dr. Edmond for all of her work.
- Thank you so much for the insight and sensitivity you brought to our anti-racism training. You were able to facilitate the creation of an environment that was both vulnerable and safe (not necessarily comfortable, but very safe), and with your help, I feel that were were able to come to our own conclusions about where we are as an organization and how we might continue to improve.
